From the Camellia sinensis assamica from the Assam region of India. Exemplary leaves, finely twisted with occasional golden, downy tips. Limited Harvest Rembeng Estate. The Rembeng estate is credited with pioneering organic tea production in Assam. The scent of the dry leaf is dark, tang and malty, with a raisiny depth. The liquor is comforting and full, with some rich malt-extract sweetness. The flavor of the tea is statuesque with the pungent finish of malt and bark. Lovely with a splash of milk, this tea is both refreshing and fortifying and because it has a higher level of caffeine, it is best enjoyed either in the morning or during the day.
